SERVICES
Supporting every step of
your child’s communication
Screenings
If you’re unsure whether your child needs an evaluation or therapy, Johnson County Speech Language Therapy offers developmental screenings.
These brief, informal assessments help determine if your child is meeting age-based communication milestones or may benefit from a more in-depth evaluation.
Screenings include observation of your child, a short parent interview, and a quick assessment of speech and language skills.
After the screening, we will discuss findings and recommend next steps.
We conduct comprehensive evaluations to better understand your child’s communication strengths and areas for growth. Evaluations include a combination of parent input, standardized testing, and informal assessment tools.
Evaluation sessions typically range from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the type and extent of testing needed.
Families receive a detailed report that includes results, interpretations of findings, and individualized recommendations.
If therapy is recommended, we will work together to develop a personalized plan with clear, measurable goals.
